Sports

The Highlands Community League has a dedicated Sports Director who is very interested in starting a number of programs for community members. Currently Soccer is the main focus of the sports program, but there is potential for other community sports including basketball, floor hockey, ice hockey and tennis.

Curling, lawn bowling and tennis are available in the community through private clubs. Please visit the Sports page for more information.

Swimming

As of January 2012, the Highlands Community League does not have a swimming agreement allowing league members to access City of Edmonton swimming pools; however we are looking into participating in a community swim with Eastglen pool.

Updates will be posted in upcoming editions of the Highlands/Bellevue HIGHLIGHTS E-newsletter and in this space.

In late January, the EFCL, the City of Edmonton and leagues across Edmonton are investigating a new pool allocation strategy that features a specific day and time for community swims. For more information or to voice your opinion, please contact Shahryar Khan, EFCL at (780) 437-2913.
