Spring Update on Hall Renewal

For those long-time residents, you know that we have been raising money for a new hall for some time! For those new to the neighbourhood, you may be wondering, why is our hall so… old, inaccessible and run-down?!

We are happy to announce that we are in the final stretch of fundraising for a new hall! We have recently been granted the Community Facility Enhancement Large Grant in the amount of $776,000! This brings us to a total of $1.726 MM raised, which is an impressive 75% of our fundraising goal.

We’re on the brink of transforming our community forever. But we can’t cross the finish line without your support. Now is the time to act!

We’re calling on the passionate, the connected, and the committed members of our beloved Highlands to rally together. Whether you’re a skilled grant writer, a local influencer, or a representative from a corporation looking to make a meaningful impact, your involvement is crucial.

This isn’t just about bricks and mortar; it’s about building a legacy that will echo through generations. By making a tax-deductible donation towards the revitalization of our hall, you’re not just investing in a building – you’re investing in the heart and soul of our neighbourhood. Your contribution ensures that Highlands remains a beacon of community spirit, growth, and togetherness.

Are you curious about how you can make a difference? Send us an email: let’s chat over coffee! A small but dedicated team of community champions is eagerly awaiting the chance to meet with you, answer your questions, and share their vision for our future. Reach out to us at hall-renewal@highlandscommunity.ca to schedule a meeting and be part of something truly special.

Every action, no matter how small, brings us closer to our goal. Join us as we embark on the final stretch of our journey – together, we can “Raise a Little Hall” and create a proper space for connection and community in Highlands. Let’s make history, one heartfelt gesture at a time!

Spring Designs for the New Hall

Images of the current Community Hall Design, for which detailed construction documents have been prepared, reflect 95% completion. Depending on grants, fundraising, formal tender results, and final input from the Building Committee, changes may still be made to the design.
